On April 5th 2025 our whole world came crashing down. One of our 13 month old twins, Remy, was diagnosed with Infant B-Cell ALL Leukaemia with KMT2A-r.

Infant leukaemia is a rare, aggressive and fast moving cancer with a high rate of relapse. It is found in babies from birth-1 year.
The current prognosis is only 40-50%.

Babies shouldn’t be getting diagnosed and dying of cancer. Losing their ability to walk, crawl, sit and talk. Spending their childhoods in hospital wards instead of their homes. Being filled with toxic drugs, having invasive tests and being in so much pain they require 24/7 morphine. Parents being told there’s no other treatment options besides the ones that can cause heart failure, neurotoxicity and neutropenia, because without it, their baby will die. Being told your baby has more chance of dying than surviving.

But unfortunately this is our reality, and so many other family’s.

Due to the lack of funding and research, the current treatment options for babies like Remy are intense, toxic and high risk. They have many devastating short and long term side effects.

Remy deserves better.

We want to watch Remy grow up with his siblings and have a normal childhood. We want Remy to survive, be cancer free and have a healthy future. We want safer treatment options and a cure for cancer, for all babies like Remy. More research, clinical trials and awareness is needed.
